This book has been very attractively produced and is very high quality, and it seems pretty clear that a massive amount of research has gone into the book. Historians or wargamers that want daily info on weather, losses, supplies delivered, which Sov units attacked which German units, etc. will find these volumes a valuable resource.

Unfortunately, most other readers will find these volumes to be of limited utility--as far as I can tell this book was intended solely as a research tool, and the daily entries cannot really be read as history, because there is absolutely no narrative, only a list of facts as described above. Don't buy this book if you want an interesting read about the battle, because this is not that book.
